Lots of birds during the spring migration. Mount Helena (compiled from all parts) has over 120 species of birds recorded in eBird. Lots of wildflowers in the sping and summertime, lingering into early fall. Over 200 species of wildflowers have been recorded by Montana Native Plant Society (MNPS) members on Mount Helena (all locations). In late May, MNPS puts out signs next to flowering plants along this trail to help people learn what they are seeing.
